BUILD A India WHERE ALL YOUTH & Children ARE SAFE, STRONG & VALUED

WHO WE ARE

Nai Roshni aims to build an equitable relationship of strength, sustenance, and dignity between the cities and villages, using under-utilized material as a tool to trigger development with dignity. We envision growing as an idea across regions, economies, and countries using urban surplus material as a tool to address basic but neglected issues of the financially and materially poor, involving them in designing and implementing their own solutions, with their own efforts, knowledge, and dignity, and material as a reward for their participation.

Nai Roshni mission is to creating a nurturing environment that can foster the physical and mental growth of street and working children in difficult circumstances. The mission is to help children experience their childhood in a safe environment and turn their dreams into reality!

WHAT WE DO

01

— Preventive Health
& Nutrition

Children on the streets live in unsanitary conditions and are prone to various infections and diseases. Therefore, regular medical check-ups of the children are done at the full-care Residential Centres and Contact Points

02

—Education and
Skill Building

The intensive engagement of Nai Roshni with street children to transform them into capable and thinking individuals is carried out via – 1) enabling access to education and 2) empowering children with skills.

03

— Outreach and
Community Projects

A segment of population lives on the streets or in slum areas spread across India. These are vulnerable children open to trafficking and abuse. Our social and outreach workers strive hard to build bonds of trust and friendship with them, their peers and families

04

— Restoration and
Rehabilitation

Nai Roshni has conceptualised an effective job placement and rehabilitation programme for the reintegration of children who have grown up/turned 18 into mainstream society.

05

CLOTH FOR WORK

Worldwide when we think of resources for any kind of development work, we think of money. Nai Roshni works on turning old material as a resource for hundreds of rural development activities.

06

— We Care

Nai Roshni has been working on varied disasters from earthquakes to Tsunami, cyclones, floods, etc. Rahat as an initiative has evolved into an active, reliable and time-tested network of stakeholders in both rural & urban India ensuring our timely response for generating need based disaster relief & rehabilitation efforts.
